Home Builders Association - 2008 Pyramid Award Winners

HARRISBURG, PA (May 2, 2009) – The Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg (HBA) honored industry experts who competed in the 16th annual Pyramid Awards program held at Hollywood Casino yesterday evening.

The Pyramid Awards program is a nationally recognized program administered throughout the country’s local HBA chapters to honor the most distinguished in building, remodeling, sales, and marketing from the previous year. Sponsoring the awards banquet was the HBA and its Sales & Marketing Council, along with Thomas Somerville Co. and Moen; Thinking Green Systems Contracting Services; Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency; Joe Dickinson - Norandex-Reynolds, Inc.; Three Spruce Landscaping; and Photography by Dimitri.


BUILDERS:

Garman Builders won for Green Building Project of the Year 2,001 to 3,000 sq. ft; Best Community Color Brochure; Best One Page Mailer/Flyer; and Best Web site Design.


Farinelli Construction, Inc. won for Green Building Project of the Year 3,001 to 4,999 sq. ft.; Commercial Property of the Year over $1,000,000; and Best Residential Addition over $700,000.


Home Designs Unlimited, LLC won for Best Single Family Model Spec Home 2,001 to 3,000 sq. ft. under $300,000.


Triple Crown Corporation won for Best Single Family Model Spec Home 2,001 to 3,000 sq. ft.  $300,001 to $400,000; Best Single Family Model Spec Home under 2,000 sq. ft;. Best Residential Addition $75,001 to $100,000; Best Community Logo; Best Special Promotion; Best Landscape Design for a Model under $50,000; Best Interior Decorating under $5,000; and Best Interior Decorating $5,001 to $10,000.


Roland Builder, Inc. won for Best Single Family Model Spec Home 2,001 to 3,000 sq. ft. over $500,000; Best Single Family Model Spec Home over 5,000 sq. ft.; Custom Home of the Year under $500,000; Custom Home of the Year $500,000 to $1,000,000; Custom Home of the Year $2,000,000 to $2,500,000; Best Company Brochure; Best Radio Advertisement; Best Newsletter; Best Landscape Design for a Model over $50,001; and Best Interior Decorating over $200,001.


Thomas J. Carricato & Sons, Inc. won for Custom Home of the Year $1,000,000 to $2,000,000.


Deimler & Sons Construction won for Best Outdoor Living under $30,000; Best Residential Addition $75,001 to $100,000; Best Residential Addition $101,000 to $150,000; Best Residential Addition over $200,000; Best Kitchen Remodel over $200,000; Best Bathroom Remodel under $25,000; and Best Bathroom Remodel $25,001 to $50,000.


Custer Homes, Inc. won for Best Residential Renovations $100,001 to $150,000; Best Residential Addition over $300,000; and Commercial Property of the Year over $3,000,000.


Steiner & Houck, Inc. won for Best Residential Renovations $200,000 to $225,000; Best Bathroom Remodel over $100,000; Best Company Signage by a Remodeler; Best Special Promotion; Best Advertisement Print; and Best Interior Decorating over $100,001.


Interior Dimensions, Inc. won for Best Residential Renovations $225,001 to $250,000.


Interior Concepts by Nelianna Lord won for Best Residential Renovations $250,001 to $300,000.


Excel Interior Concepts & Construction won for Best Kitchen Remodel $25,001 to $50,000; Best Kitchen Remodel $50,001 to $75,000; Best Kitchen Remodel $75,001 to $100,000; Best Company Brochure; and Best Web site Design.


Thinking Green Systems Contracting Services won for Best One Page Mailer/Flyer; and Best Web site Design.


Charter Homes & Neighborhoods won for Best Billboard; Best Print Advertisement; and Best Interior Decorating $50,000 to $100,000.


Melissa B. Rodgers Interiors won for Best Interior Decorating under $3,000.


Interiors by Decorating Den won for Best Interior Decorating $3,001 to $5,000; and Best Interior Decorating $5,001 to $10,000.


Associate Professional Awards were given honoring Jessie Morrison, Triple Crown Corporation for Best Associate Professional Administrative Assistant; Carrah Heffelfinger, Triple Crown Corporation for Best Associate Professional Customer Service in Office; Kathleen Vickroy, Excel Interior Concepts & Construction for Best Associate Professional Director of Operations; Michelle Sauder, Excel Interior Concepts & Construction for Best Associate Professional Designer; Michael E. Barnes Construction, nominated by Triple Crown Corporation for Best Associate Professional Trades Contractor for a Builder; Adam Foura, nominated by Excel Interior Concepts & Construction for Best Associate Professional Trades Contractor for a Remodeler; Gale Riddle, Triple Crown Corporation for Best Associate Professional Superintendent for a Builder; and Keith Mateer, Excel Interior Concepts & Construction for Best Associate Professional Superintendent for a Remodeler.

The Premium Service Award was awarded to William Stoeffler, The Stoeffler Group.

Awards for Attending the Most Meetings and Events were awarded to Craig Deimler, Remodeler member; Lynda Rosbach, Associate member; and Gary Lenker, Builder member.

The Most Active New Member for 2008 was awarded to Tess Wittler, Tess Wittler Writing Service.
